Yoga Studio Going Green - In Progress
Green Business Interior Environment
This is the ‘before’ picture of a local yoga studio I am helping go ‘green’.
This project is great because the people are very interested in providing a healthy environment for their clients. I will have more on this as we get closer to completion.
This one is going to turn out amazing…
Reclaimed Housing For
Sustainable Green Powered Emergency Housing
This project required taking this prefab house (above) and make it easy to assemble and operate it off the grid.
The client’s goal is to use these structures in disaster relief areas as an immediate, sustainable housing solution. We partnered with them to create solutions that would allow it to be built on site, by non-english speaking laborers (for out of USA applications) within a few days.
Green Powered:
We also worked it out so that it could be powered via pre-installed solar or wind power. Logic being that if was going to be constructed in a disaster relief area (think New Orleans after Katrina), there was a strong chance there would be no power. We included a simplified grey water system to maximize water conservation and reduce overall costs.
Green Home Residential Eco Consulting
When I recently did an eco-consult on a home in Encinitas, this is what I saw on the people’s counter top. I was excited to see that some of the cleaners they were using were either organic or low-toxin. This house was typical of what I run into-some recycling being done, a family that was concerned about the environment and committed to making some positive changes. My recommendations on this project were pretty straight foward-there were some things they needed to do, but no major changes to the structure of the home at all.
